McAfee Antivirus Review
McAfee has been in the antivirus business for a while. The company was founded in 1988. is also known for its firewall, antispam, file encryption and public key infrastructure product lines. It is most well-known, however, for its anti-virus and has a stronghold on the market. Security suites provide complete protection against viruses and malware and are guaranteed by a $1 million identity theft guarantee.
All of McAfee’s plans include a full-featured malware scanner which will block the entry of malware into a computer system and kill or block those viruses that have already infiltrated it. Its real-time engine blocks malware from being downloaded and redirects, encrypts and reroutes data so that your online activity isn’t intercepted.
McAfee has consistently scored high in our tests, both the AV Test 0-day test as well as our malware protection test. It also scored 100 percent in our privacy tests.
The interface of the suite is easy to navigate and simple to use. Accessing features such as parental controls and identity theft protections is a bit of a hassle, though. The dashboard is www.swiftvpnapp.com/avast-anti-track-premium-license-key-2021 separated into separate menus. Support isn’t easy to obtain. There is a McAfee community forum is active, however you’ll have to pay for Techmaster Concierge to get help with more complex issues.
The only major disappointment was that McAfee’s scan failed to remove unwanted files on our test systems. It doesn’t permit users to drag and drop a file or folder into the suite to scan it as do many other competitors. This is a major problem in a security suite at this price.
